About this ebook

Take a break. Have some fun! Treat yourself!Don't you deserve these 28 humorous poems /songs?
"If You Like To Laugh, Volume Two" is an e-book of humor, sometimes sophisticated, sometimes absurd, sometimes downright ridiculous, but always very funny. In volume two is a song about an amazing shortstop I've nominated for the Hall of Fame, a scathing indictment of Neil Armstrong, the give-me-shivers verses of Lorna Dume, the spooky tale of the Delftian girl in Camelot, why love should be like a track meet, the tale of Gearlo the physicist's attempt to save the universe, an anthem for dog lovers, the true legend of Absyrtus (look it up, if you think I've invented him, and then know your life can never be one-hundredth as bad as his) and much more. If you like to laugh, you'll like this book.

I am always happy when a reader takes an interest in one of my ebooks. There's millions of choices for the discerning searcher so it's somewhat of a miracle when someone even previews something that I have written. To date, my most popular ebooks have been "The Death Of Medicine", about a surgeon called 'The Savior Of Mothers' (his techniques are now being used to combat a possible mega-epidemic called 'CRE'); a short story that is an homage to The Twilight Zone ("11/11/11")and accurately presaged the current American political situation; a short story about the pilgrimage of a real-life Russian idealist entitled "Why The Russian Language May Be A Clever Hoax"; and a series of humor books, the "If You Like to Laugh" volumes. I also write children's books and children's comedy. I try to keep my humor clean and free from cruelty but, above all, very funny. "The Monsters That Were Afraid Of Children" and "The Dog Who Cried Woof" are my two most popular children's stories but I believe there are some undiscovered gems in my children's catalogue. Finally, I also write satirical pieces, such as "Canada died?", which reflects on my thoughts after I recently found one of those 'Canada. 1867-2008' in-memoriam nickels among my change. (Save those coins--they'll be worth a fortune some day) and the Rocky the Rock life-lessons series. I hope you enjoy all my books and stories. Sincerely, Piso Mojado

    Nancy the Sieve

Like an apparition from the by-gone days

They say her spirit does the diamond wander.

At night believers scale the fence

To walk the field of Nancy du Ball-Colander.

Baseball has had its Mays, its Casey and Babe,

And gave fame to Hank the Hammer,

But of all the legends spawned by sport

    None is stranger than Colander.

Sportswriters hailed her when they wrote,

    She is shortstop make-believe.

    Her statistics caused skeptical calls

And her nick: Nancy the Sieve.

    Some athletes have superior genes.

    Some succeed by discipline

The Sieve rose to the highest rung

    By fielding like a sin.

    She was the player-manager

    And never was relieved.

    That's how three-digit error stats

    Were eventually achieved.

    But...

How joyful to be in the park

    As another ball slides by,

And to sing with all in unison,

    Bye-bye, baseball, bye-bye.

Sieve has no need of glove nor mitt,

    Her fans have often boasted,

"And watch how batters aim to hit

    Exactly where she's posted.

    Sieve has a simple strategy:

    Let baseballs find a seam--

    Opponents trot the bases 'til

    They're finally out of steam.

Those who came to watch the game

    All
