About this ebook
Are you one of us? Do you play a little? Or did you give it up? Were you found out? It might be your dirty little secret. Your only secret. Or one of many.
This memoir explores the world of 'playing' in Sydney, through the eyes of Lilly, a PR consultant who lives on Bondi Beach. After a working holiday overseas, she meets Lucas and Scott when she returns, who introduce her to threesomes and mixing food with sex.
Soon her life is filled with cucumbers, eggplants melted chocolate and whipped cream to play with in the bedroom.
This is Fifty Shades of Grey, Australian-style; with the contents of your fridge.
Come and play.

Playing
Do you play?
Are you one of us? Do you play a little? Or did you give it up? Were you found out? It might be your dirty little secret. Your only secret. Or one of many.
It all goes on behind closed doors. Or sometimes in the venue room just above where you’re sipping a casual glass of wine. Often it’s those couples that seem to have it all together. Those adoring ones with the cheesy selfies on Facebook, who have the house with the view, the always perfectly groomed dog, the well-dressed, polite children. You would never know. It’s hardly going to pop up in your Facebook newsfeed.
Your partner might, or might not know you do it. You might just have a play partner, or it might be a group where all couples strictly have to be partners, real ones. It’s safer that way. From wanting to turn what goes on behind those sealed doors into something real; a simple flirtation turning into a real life relationship. You wouldn’t want to develop feelings for anyone. That’s against the rules.
I once spoke to a couple who met while playing, when they both had other partners. They whispered it to me. It’s the biggest fear of the playing crowd.
They play together so there’s no cheating. That defeats the purpose. You only play together.
There’s no lies. Just complete honesty; about what you want and who you want to do it with. You’re sharing each other’s bodies, giving others access to your husband’s pants.
Just remember, it’s playing.
It’s not an orgy. It’s not a key swapping game. It’s just playing. A game. It’s not just sex, it’s much more than that. It’s a completely different game.
There are rules, which vary. There can be any number of players and you can make it last hours or days. Or you might take a look around the room and decide to pass on that playing session. No-one there is your type. Usually the women pass on a man they’re not interested in.
Or you have a safe word. It means grab your clothes, we’re out of here.
Too much hair on the bodies that lay sprawled across the furniture. Questionable hygiene. Or you might just suddenly not feel like having sex. Time to leave.
It might be all very respectable.
I only once caught a jealous look on someone’s face. It was on a woman’s face. She was new to the scene. It was her first time. Her partner had been playing for years with other partners. She had said yes,
she would give it a go.
But she didn’t seem very happy about the whole situation. I’m not sure they properly discussed what was about to occur. It might have been a
