    Simultaneously, we go back in time to track the story of a sacred Christian relic, which we first discover being rescued by a band of warrior monks during the siege of Constantinople in 1204, then later as it comes in and out of the possession of the Knights Templars, the Freemasons, and the Nazis before eventually making its way to the Illuminati and the Amber Room.

    Jack & Kira's persistence in locating the Amber Room and unraveling the mystery surrounding Roskopf's murder places them in the crosshairs, as their investigation threatens an audacious plan by the Illuminati to bring down their centuries-old archenemy.

Cope effortlessly combines history with an imaginative plot and believable characters. To say he is a master of twisting the plot is a vast understatement. I guarantee you will be fascinated, breathless and stunned. I also guarantee you will want more - more Jack Monroe and more Gil Cope!

I love the idea of searching for an art treasure like the Amber Room and this book approaches it with a mix of creative originality and historical truth that's refreshing and exciting.

    Gil Cope has a gift for painting vivid, cinematic pictures and there are breathtaking scenes scattered throughout the book - I could easily imagine this on the big screen. There's mystery, history, and enough twists and turns to keep me on the edge of my seat. For readers who liked "The DaVinci Code," this is a MUST read!
