An entertaining book. Mecky is a woman whose life seems to have imploded: her husband wants her only for money, she is lonely, and has an aggressive cancer. Various coincidences lead her to a trip to Egypt where she has profound experiences of past lives around the time of Akhenaten. Along the way she meets others on the first trip, then in past life regression sessions, and another trip to Egypt. Several of the people appeared in her earlier incarnations, and as she learns more of those lives, her own life shifts in ways she cannot anticipate. Is it real? Is it a created fantasy? Who knows?I enjoyed the book for its depiction of past life work, and it seems believable. Whether the events in ancient Egypt transpired is up for conjecture. I'm not one for more new age thinking, where the focus seems to be all about personal development and nothing else, but the writing and story were so engaging I managed to work past those portions.
