Reviews Of Herobrine Birth Of A Monster - "I must say that I am not a Herobrine minecraft fan, only because if had not had much experience with it. My son loves it and so I bought this book but after the first few pages, I couldn't put it down. I like the drama, it is well written, the story flows well, and it has changed my opinion of Minecraft.Well done. I also hope that there is a sequel and I can see why it is a bestseller.

    Chapter 1

It had been a long time since Jake had drawn a breath. How long he couldn’t remember? There were a lot of things he couldn’t remember. Something at the back of his mind had said there was more than this. A life. It seemed so distant now that it felt like someone else’s. Giving up on the effort it was taking him to work on the problem, Jake continued on putting one foot in front of the other. That was all he did nowadays, putting one foot in front of the other. Day after day, week after week, just walking, non-stop walking. It was like being on a hamster wheel that never stopped moving. If he didn’t know any better he would have thought that the ground was moving, and he was stationary. The only thing that seemed to change was the background. Hills, trees, streams, they all came and went in the moonlight. All meaning nothing to him. Like his past life, it felt like all this had mattered to him in some way. How? He couldn’t be sure. The only thing he was sure of right now, his feet were still moving and he was still hungry.

Turning to his left, Jake could see a small group had joined him in the night. He’d heard their movements, but they’d kept their distance. They must have hoped he knew something they didn’t. But that would be suggesting that they thought for themselves. No, they were probably in the same situation as he was, looking for their next meal and being drawn to that thing out there. What it was he wasn’t sure, but it had him. Like a homing pigeon or someone caught in a tracker beam, he was being drawn to the east. Maybe if his brain wasn’t so scattered he could work out where he was going. But it couldn’t. Like drawing breath, his body wasn’t his own any more. It was lost on autopilot. Trapped in a body that he couldn’t control anymore. The only thing that kept him going was his hunger. He was always hungry. That was the biggest concern on his mind nowadays, that and not falling over. If he fell over again he didn’t think he’d make it. He’d been lucky the last time, using a nearby rock to help get upright. But it also took almost all of his energy. Only for the small decline he’d been on at the time helping him move his feet, he’d probably still be there. Like a tortoise on its back frantically trying to get upright. He’d seen others like that, the fallen, too weak or malnourished to get back up, pawing at the air hoping to grab onto him as he passed. Their arms too wasted to grip onto him. He’d ignored them. They weren’t important to him. The only thing that concerned him now was his hunger. Nothing else. He knew if they were in the same situation as he was they’d do the same. They’d pass by on their journey and not give him a second thought. That’s how it was nowadays.

Shuffling along Jake could feel he was starting to get close. There was food somewhere ahead. There weren’t many things that worked on his body anymore apart from his senses. Like a blind man his sense of smell and hearing had taken on a new power of their own. Where once a smell on the wind would have passed him by, Jake found his new body catch everything. It had to, if he was to survive. If you could call what he was doing surviving? But that’s the way life was now, making your way from one meal to another, hoping to keep yourself in one piece. Looking over his shoulder Jake found his following had grown larger, much larger, they must be getting close now. They could sense it too. His excitement increasing at the thought of food
