    All About Auras

Can you see auras? Yes, you can!

But—will you? Should you? And, how can you do it?

In answering these questions, it will be your understanding and your motivation that makes all the difference for this subject or, for that matter, for any other personal interest subject.

It’s not merely knowing what auras are, but also knowing how they relate to your body and your life.

It’s not merely that seeing auras may be intriguing and exciting, but what will doing so mean for you?

And, will seeing and reading auras benefit you in ways helpful to your personal life, your relationships, your career, and your spiritual life? This is where desire and motivation become so important.

We will explore these questions just a little bit to give brief answers to what auras really are, and how and why it can benefit you to see, and read, auras—your own and those of other persons. These few pages are intended to get you started actually seeing and reading auras, and then to give you some suggested reading resources when you wish to more deeply develop your abilities and get into such active auric work as intervention for healing, self-improvement, career and academic advancement, etc. (Yes, aura intervention is possible and practical, and part of an empowering life-style.)

A few people normally do see auras. They are natural clairvoyants, psychically sensitive to energy fields (more about that later). Many people physically sense auras without seeing them, and often intuitively read them without any understanding of the process. And another group of peoplefor various reasons–cannot (at first) see or sense this subtle energy field.

Even the natural clairvoyants—those who see the auric field (or even just some of it) surrounding another person—can benefit from gaining understanding of the factors involved. And for most of us who do only sense auras surrounding other people, this little book should be a solid enabler for seeing and reading, and benefiting from becoming an Aura Specialist.

What about the third group that neither sees nor senses these subtle fields of energy that are seemingly outside of the familiar range of physical perception? Once again, it all depends upon understanding and motivation. Given enough belief (through understanding the nature of the subtle energies and their place in the universe we live in) and sufficient desire (strong enough motivation based on perceived benefits) it is possible to learn to see what has previously been hidden from view.

There’s that old, often-told story (whether true or not, I don’t know—I wasn’t there!) about the first Spanish galleons to visit Grande de Tierra del Fuego (the great Land of Fire) at the southern tip of South America. In 1520 when the Spaniards rowed ashore from their anchored sailing ships, the indigenous people could see the small rowboats and the Spanish soldiers in their armor, but they could not see the big galleons from which they’d embarked. Such ocean-going ships were totally outside their experience and comprehension—hence "out of mind, out of sight!" It was only as the Spaniards kept gesticulating and pointing to where they’d come from that those ships slowly became visible to a people whose world-view was suddenly shaken and expanded.

    An Invisible Energy Field

Hold up one hand about two feet in front of your face, preferably against a plain background, off-white or black or other neutral color (not of the red family), and with your fingers slightly spread let your eyes focus on an imaginary dot floating between your thumb and index finger. Given a few seconds of fixedly gazing at the imaginary dot, most people will soon see a faint glow radiating perhaps a quarter inch from the skin. Now, bring both hands close together with the
