I've only recently become an author, however, my first book in some ways has taken at least five years in the planning. I plan to specialise in melding my own creative thoughts with the North East of England, especially South Shields where I was born and live today. My first series - Gardiner's World - revolves around the protagonist Tom Gardiner and the various people that he interacts with. Tom is an anarchist and has had a topsy-turvy life, some of which is played out in my first novel 'Dig For Anarchy - Cultivating a Revolution', with more exploits documented in the prequel: 'Man and Boy - Seeding the Revolution'. It comprises of three key stages in Tom's life. Part 1 chronicles Tom's life from three to ten years old; Part 2 details his Senior School years (11 to 16) and Part 3 examines his working life after school leading up to his departure from the school (18 to 24). Those who have read 'Dig' will know approximately to what point I'm referring to. I am currently researching and drafting up my next novel, which is a depature from "Gardiner's World" and is to be more sci-fi. More on this to follow!
