About this ebook
Most of artist Sonya Fe’s drawings are unconventional, and this unconventionally titled collection reflects her approach to art and to life.
In Women Need Whorehouses Too, Fe seeks to depict experiences or thoughts that we have all had at times. She seeks to express the innermost feelings she felt as a child, a young woman, and an older woman. She does not shy away from the taboo or the unpopular. Instead, her work reveals that all people must assume ultimate responsibility for their acts of free will and that it serves us well to view women in particular without preconceived notions based on behavior that doesn’t fit into social norms. In these drawings, Fe forces viewers out of their comfort zones, communicating memory, pain, honor, humor, and acceptance.
Taking a less traveled path, this collection of original drawings offers mind-altering images in an exploration of the unusual and the taboo.
