The horny will walk the Earth in search of satisfaction. It’s easier if you just give in.

TIME ELAPSED SINCE FIRST CONTACT: 30 HOURS

    NUMBER OF INFECTED: 5

"Come on, Katee teased. Stop being such a priss. We’re the only three here. Do something spontaneous for once in your life."

Especially now since the world is coming to an end, Theo added.

Well, you have five seconds to make a decision. Here it comes. You ready yet?

Jill frowned as the camera flashed, lighting up the entire booth. Against Katee’s wish, her arms stayed firmly at her sides, and her shirt properly in place. From the corner of her eye she saw her friend with her shirt and bra hiked up. Jill only saw her friend’s breasts for a second before they were covered again. It was no secret that Katee was more endowed than she was.

Look! Look what genetics gave me! Jill imagined her saying. A foul taste lingered in her mouth.

You didn’t do it, Katee complained.

I promise not to look, Theo added. Ask my girlfriend. I won’t.

"See? And if I don’t look, no one’s going to know!"

Yeah, except the picture that comes out, eternal proof, Jill mumbled.

Katee reached over and put a hand on her shoulder—which wasn’t far inside the cramped booth. The three of them were squished together as it was, with Theo the meat in the sandwich.

"Fine. You keep the picture for yourself. Just … let go for once. Have some fun. Take chances. Make mistakes. Go—"

"Now you’re just quoting The Magic School Bus."

No I’m not, Katee asserted. And so what if I am? They’re words to live by. Stop being so crabby.

Jill pouted. Despite not agreeing with her whole carefree outlook, Katee had a point. Who was going to find out? It was just the three of them in the kiosk, and the curtains made sure that no one else could see inside—if there was anyone out there to even see inside.

Finally, Jill exhaled and straightened her glasses. Fine. But no peeking.

Katee’s smile widened. We won’t! Here. She reached forward and pressed the button, starting the countdown timer. Five seconds. Theo, look away.

    Yes ma’am, Theo replied sarcastically.

The seconds ticked down in big, flashing letters. After the timer was finished, Jill grabbed the bottom of her shirt and yanked it up. A quick flash illuminated the entire booth. She covered herself after it was finished.

A tiny slit in the wall shot out a glossy photo. Katee grabbed it before Jill even reached.

    Hey!

Katee laughed. Nice. You look like a dork. And you left your bra on.

You didn’t tell me to take that off.

    It’s implied! Theo, tell her.

Theo’s voice cracked. When you flash someone? Yeah, sure.

Katee handed the photo over. We should try again.

That’s not a good idea. Theo glanced at his watch. It’s nearly eight. Curfew’s in thirty minutes they said. We don’t wanna be caught out here, even if your father is some important dude.

Katee smirked. I’m sure he could bust us out.

Jill’s eyes widened. You really think they would take us to jail?

No way. Katee swiped the curtain and stepped out, stretching her legs. They’ll just give us some pointless scolding. Trust me. I had plenty when I was younger.

Jill didn’t like the idea of getting into trouble. They were already pushing it as it was, being out here alone. Certain places had been blocked off since morning, and the mall was one of them.

Outside the photo booth, the entire place was empty.

Anyone else think this is super creepy? Theo asked, gazing ahead. The lights are still on and everything. There’s just no people.

Thanks for the obvious, replied Katee. It’s standard procedure, or something. My dad explained it to me last night. They have to close off the town and check every building to control the infection.

Is that why we have these things? Theo held up his wrist.

"Infection? Jill repeated, feeling a chill at the very mention of the word. Where did you hear that? Someone told me it was some escaped convict."

Katee burst into laughter before covering her mouth. "Convict? You really think the military would
