Jack Bright is a geographer and an English teacher from the UK, resident in the Czech Republic. He spends much of his spare time taking part in endurance sports such as winter swimming, running, cross country skiing and mountaineering. A keen traveller, he has been on expeditions to remote locations in Spitsbergen, Greenland, Kamchatka and Alaska in both winter and summer. He has a degree in geography and is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He has made 3 films about his expeditions and gives talks about his experiences. He is also the co-founder and race director of the unique Kryathlon event www.extremewinterswimming.com www.kryathlon.com
