About this ebook
Vasquez & James: Book One
Reclusive weaver Sonny Bly James controls every color and shape in his tapestries, but he can’t control the pattern of his life—a random encounter with Luki Vasquez, ex-ATF agent and all-around badass, makes that perfectly clear. The mutual attraction is immediate, but love-shy Sonny has retreated from life, and Luki wears his visible and not-so-visible scars like armor. Neither can bare his soul with ease.
While they run from desire, they can’t hide from the evil that hunts them. After it becomes clear that a violent stalker has targeted Sonny, Luki’s protective instincts won’t let him run far, especially when Sonny’s family is targeted as well. Whether they can forgive or forget, Sonny and Luki will have to call a truce and work together to save Sonny’s nephew and fight an enemy intent on making sure loving Luki Vasquez is the last mistake Sonny will ever make.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Sonny James had no idea what to expect when Luki Vasquez wandered across his path - but he figured the man could bring something new into his life. Turns out that was an understatement. Luki can definitely ignite Sonny's passions, but they are together quickly pulled into a multi-state chase that leaves both of their lives in jeopardy.
I'd heard bits and pieces about this series before jumping in and now I can see why people have such great things to say about it. The reader is definitely taken on quite the adventure with these two men. This is also one of those books that keeps you guessing - assuming nothing truly bad can happen to the main characters or those close to them just seems like something you shouldn't do. I definitely like the feel, the speed, the pacing - and am very keen to pick up the second book. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book was okay, but I seriously doubt I'll be reading anymore in the series. I didn't really like Sonny for some reason. I just couldn't get in his head with the whole PhD weaver who lives in a shack in the woods. And Luki was...odd. I really hated all the puking. And the bad guy? And don't get me started on Sonny's nephew. He is missing and Sonny doesn't really look to hard for him until towards the end. I see a lot of people liked this book, so maybe it's just me. Oh well.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/52.5 stars. Not a bad story, but I kept losing interest while reading. And the mystery aspect felt weak. I have the second book already.
Hopefully I'll like that better, because there were some moments in this one that showed promise. I just wasn't able to connect with the characters or their dangerous situations.
