Preface
Let's keep it real. If you are reading this book, then you probably are in the friend zone. The friend zone is the result of an uneven expectation in a relationship. One party (you) is in love with the other party (her) but poses as a close friend. Now she may or may not realize your feelings for her. But the point is, things are not working out for you two because she sees you just as a friend
.
Maybe you have not made a move on her yet, because you feel that you are already in the friend zone and you fear the rejection. Or you have confessed your feelings to this girl that you like, and you hear one of the following:
I would rather have you as my friend, I'm afraid pursuing a relationship would ruin our friendship.
We should just be friends… I do not want to be in a relationship at this time.
I just got out of a relationship and I need time to be myself again before dating anyone else.
Or I'm sorry, I just can't see you that way. You are my best friend.
Then clearly you are in the friend zone. In fact, if you only find yourself asking the question, Am I in the friend zone?
then it is more likely that you are.
Why did I say this? Because when a girl is attracted to you, and you have shown effort to get close to her, she will show you that she is into you. Of course, she can be very timid and she won't even give you any kind of flirty signal. Or you are just really bad at catching her subtle messages to go and get her. But the chances of either are small.
However, you don't need to despair. The truth of the matter is, you got yourself into the friend zone. And you can certainly get out of it. This book will show you how, step-by-step. Read on to learn everything you need to know about the friend zone: how you got in, how to prepare for the evacuation, and how to break free. With some luck, you can even get her to chase you!
Introduction: Welcome to the Zone
Welcome to the friend zone. I hope you enjoy your stay.
I am being facetious, of course. I hope you have not enjoyed being in the friend zone. It sucks. Of course, friendship is great, but this is not what you want when you think about a relationship with this pretty girl.
Plus, is it really true friendship when what you want out of your friend
is something else entirely than what she is providing? You can't be a true friend when you do things for her while hoping, secretly, that she will develop romantic feelings for you. And most of the time, the girl is not entirely oblivious to it either. She may not intentionally put you in the friend zone, but on some level, she probably knew that you have feelings for her. However, since you are not pushing hard for it, it's more convenient for her to pretend that nothing is going on. You, after all, are doing the same.
From my observations, there are 2 possible reasons why you got in the friend zone. It is important to identify which category you belong to before moving forward.
1) She’s just not into you.
It’s nobody’s fault. Like men, women have their own preferences. Surely you have girl friends of your own whom you are not interested to develop romantic feelings for. I'm not talking about disinterest because the condition did not permit you to. Rather, even when they are single and available, you won't go after them. These girls most likely fall in this category as well, because the next reason is mainly reserved for men (you will see why).
So you can be the cutest guy on earth. You may be witty, smart, and well off financially. Other girls might be head over heels for you. But she is just not into you. Maybe you have flirted with her in an attempt to show your intentions, and she might flirt back. If she does, and yet she only wants to
