Section 1: Without God’s Standards, Christians (Saints) are Drowning in the Pews
Dr. James E. Daughtry II, Th.D.
A Biblical Exegesis explaining What Happens to Churches and People when their Pastors and Leaders Drop the Standards that GOD Lifts Up in His CHURCH His PEOPLE His SAINTS
Even though standards are dogmatically under attack in these modern times because they’re considered unscriptural and irrelevant. Every Christian must understand that it is impossible to love and please the Lord without comprehending that God’s standards are meant for His church, and not for the world. When churches and its people reject standards, they are dismissing God because it’s the (Spirit of the Lord) who lifts up His standard. Without God’s standards, we forfeit our protection, deliverance and perfection. Without God’s Word, which is God’s Standard(s), Christians (Saints) are drowning in the pews.
In Jesus, we see God and can hear God because we can experience like the original disciples – 1. The transforming power of God’s Standard of Standards {the Word of God} which births, develops, instructs and creates (2.) true disciples, (3.) real Christ followers {authentic evangelist} who are total prac-titioners of (4.) love, (5.) obedience and (6.) holiness. Without God’s Standard(s), we cancel God’s holiness empowerment points 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and so on.
God’s Word, which is His Standards, are they relevant in times like these? Church Standards, are they scriptural, traditional, legalistic, or spiritual? Christian Standards, do they put us under law or grace? Do they bind, rather than loose? There is much controversy in the church world concerning standards of holiness, saintly dressing, the law, grace, etc. In seeking the Lord for understanding, separated from the traditional, popular, presumptuous and stereotypical dogmas (teachings & fads) not only of the past, but also in these present modern times. I began an ongoing research process of studying the Word of God, and His will (relating) to such a time as this! Let us pray and understand God’s Visual, + Doctrinal Exegesis Message to His Saints His Church.
Section 2: Isaiah 59:19
Isaiah 59:19. So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
- King James Bible Authorized Version
, Cambridge Edition.
In this world when the enemy and his crew come threatening (attacking) our lives with an overwhelming flood of troubles, sin, and pain. The Spirit of the Lord lifts up a standard against him.
Symbolically, God’s standards represent a barrier, a protective shield that looks like a perfectly structured (Dam). You recognize it is not man-made but God-made. Its walls consist of God’s precepts, principles, standards, commands, laws, rules, and regulations. This powerful structure reveals to us God’s specially designed standards of Holiness, which are built upon the inspired writings of the apostles and prophets; precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little, there a little in both the Old and New Testament; with the Lord Jesus Christ himself being its strong foundation and chief cornerstone.
It is when the storms of all hell have broken loose, and the intensity of our trials and tribulations has reached emergency flood levels. God’s lifts up His standards inside the obedient of us to protect, deliver, bless, strengthen, settle, and perfect us {His Church His Saints His True Lovers} who are born again of the water and the spirit! [St.John3:3-8]
Further investigation of Isaiah 59:19 reveals that when churches, and their leaders have no standards. They have no Spirit. For it is the Spirit of the Lord, who lifts up the standard (His Word) inside of us to protect, deliver, bless, strengthen, settle, and perfect all who obey {GOD (JESUS!)} because they really truly Love HIM!
God’s Law reveals His Divine Standard (Love!). New Testament believers can compare themselves against the Standard [which is the Word of God], and accurately identify sin, which is the failure to Love, Honor, and Obey God’s Standards, Principles, Statues, Commandments, Rules, and Instructions.
Today, if God’s principles, are considered to be outdated or non - believed by the mod-ern world or (Christian?). Why does the second portion of Isaiah 59:19 say, When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him
?
Some want to move the comma in this scripture here in Isaiah 59:19, but when you search out this matter, you can understand that the comma is right where God intended it to be. We must allow God’s Word to interpret itself. Who is the enemy? Satan the Dragon!
Revelation12:15
And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up
the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth."
So it is Satan that comes in like a flood, and it is the Holy Spirit which lifts up the standard against him.
Section 3: Without God’s Standards (leaders) Lower God’s Banners
If we seek the Lord, and trust and obey HIM in our times of trouble, God will exercise HIS authority over the enemy of our spirit, soul and body. When Leaders choose to drop, compromise, and criticize God’s standard(s), they not only discredit God, they exalt themselves as the new gods/old gods. When churches and its leaders delete standards, they’re totally dismissing the Spirit, for it is the Spirit of the Lord, which elevates His standard His word in His people’s obedient hearts of love to protect, bless and perfect them. Without God’s Standards Pastors (Leaders) lower God’s Banners (flags) and raise their own. God uses Banners (Standards) to stand against the enemy. God has used banners throughout Biblical history. He is still using them today! God’s Word is His Banner and when we obey our Banner [JESUS], we Lift Up that Flag {JESUS}, who said ‘And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me’ (Jn. 12:32). (Isaiah 31:9) It says, Their stronghold will fall because of terror; at the sight of the battle standard their commanders will panic, declares the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, whose furnace is in Jerusalem
From old times and even now in our modern times: Banners are still our battle standards that cause the enemy to flee. We will lift our banners in the name of our God
(Ps. 20:5). Today we
