About this ebook

What could be MORE mysterious than the life of Jim Limber? An African-American orphan who joined Jefferson Davis' household in 1864, Jim lived in circumstances difficult to imagine today. The story balances events which changed the nation forever with well-told personal stories of real people caught in the whirlwind of events. The book also presents "alternate endings" to continue the legacy of this mysterious figure.

Rather disappointing book about a small black boy who was adopted into the Jefferson Davis home during the last year of the Civil War. Speculative fiction about his life, there is a lot of made up conversations and a disjointed series of chapters about his time with the Davis family. Eventually, the book has several different endings about the life of this child after he was removed from the Davis family. More fact and less fiction would have made this a better book.
