    FOREWORD

Encountering or talking to a person that sees things in another light, that impresses upon the possibility and ability to reach greatness without even trying to fail is a clear proof that among us walk the generation that will give the world a different shape in future.

Therefore without hinting further, Simon Kupalia has the mind of gold and his view of reality somehow in some way evokes the sense of admiration and inspiration to any person that has met him before or has read about him.

Simon Kupalia was born in 1994 in a fairly blooming family in Malindi in Kilifi County (also has lived and stayed in Kaloleni and Mombasa) and aggressively climbed the ladder to his educational prosperity that has irrevocably marked his present day turning point to become a marine engineer as well as an author of this book – Soul Almanac.

At his very prime, this cutting-edge stunt has demonstrated his eclectic nature as an unstoppable intellectual that heartily comprehends the formalities of life and has seen the essence of responding to the society by an effortful mentorship and motivational attitude that is apparent in this book.

Briefly having come to the knowledge of him, his drive to succeed in life fueled by his dream and passion to become the first Kenyan astronaut and first African to land on Mars in 2025, did not challenge me but rather with such aspirations that you don’t hear everyday, I have learnt to appreciate him and respect dearly his brave decision to want to venture into a journey to the unknown because The task of the leader is to get people from where they are to where they have not been and Simon will travel to new planets only to become a legend.

I want to believe that this book is a moral blueprint that can serve the best purpose in our society because Mr. Kupalia has outlined intently within his preferential limits the guidelines that can change our perspective positively to enhance a corresponding positive growth and development.

Also as I always talk about the Power of Self-Image that the only limits we have are in the frame we have created in our own self-image. I believe without a shadow of any doubt that Simon will surely make history because he believes in possibilities and touching people’s lives through his story. Watch this space and make sure you see him, help him where you can before he hit every news headline.

I highly recommend this book to everyone who has a big dream that even it scares you and you want to make it come true.

    ENDORSEMENTS

I would wish to congratulate Simon Kupalia for his utter disposition as reflected in this book which as for its dedicated purpose is a commendable concise work which is beautiful in essence and overall a useful tool for the growth and development of the society. I also observe his ingenuous approach in using science, philosophy and theology to express his mind.

    Gabriel Katana, Ph.D,

    Professor of Physics (Pwani University),
Coordinator of the Regional Easter Africa DIES-Alumni Network in Higher Education (REAL)

Simon lays his soul bare in this thought-provoking and powerfully written book. It is both beautiful, but carries a bitter-sweet taste of truth and a strong time-honoured message of morality and a strong inner directional compass. This book is a must read and will go down in the annals of time as a strong reminder to keep God at the centre of our lives.

Remarkable theological references made in this book and a clean-cut description of true nature of spirituality. This is without a doubt a guide for the soul.

    Pius Kagwi, Ph.D,

Doctor of Ministry, Theology and Church Leadership

    Mount Kenya University

What a profound scope drawn from a critical yet harmonizing perspective by Mr. Kupalia. I am entirely supportive of his theological tenets as they extend the message of God just without unnecessary deviation from the true meaning of scriptures as much as he endeavors to observe scientific meanings in nature. I wish him the very best in his Astronaut dreams and God bless him. Wellington Sanga

    Bishop at

    Kenya Methodist Church of Kenya

Kupalia has always been my remarkable and top-achieving student in his marine engineering pursuit and to learn of his intentions to publish this very book and to eventually get to read it, I reveal that he’s one of the greatest minds of this generation. At the age that he has conceived the kind of thoughts herein, with an open-mind approach, is a definitive aspect of a brighter future both for himself and the generations to come. My best wishes in his further endeavors!

    David K. Kariuki,

    Kenya Ports Authority

Lecturer at JKUAT, TUM & Bandari College

Even in his marine engineering training he has displayed a tenable aptitude to seek the very best and therefore dubbing him excellent is an understatement as far as his scope of communication in this book is concerned.

I first knew Simon during some educational event and from his speech I was captured by his composure and eloquence in expressing himself and to know that he was a young man with such great ambitions as becoming the first Kenyan in space and first African on Mars in future (also as he says so in this book), excited me so much and urged him whenever he gets to glide over Kenya in the International Space Station one day, he should send a message home. He is an inspiration to all.

    Prof. Dr. Anthonie Torres

Such an important and strong message herein centred on the formalities of quality leadership and development and sustenance of moral capacity in our society. I truly believe Simon has demonstrated the right attitude and a clear mind to develop the insight that has enabled him to communicate appropriately in this book. He’s a good example why the youth can maximize their potential to realize their dreams.

His story eventually will be the success story of the boy that dreamt and woke up in another world and this book in the generations to come shall prove to be an evident self-oath that Mr. Kupalia made to keep his desire alive.

    PREFACE

If you’re able to peer through the historical window back into the 19th or 20th century you can most definitely say things are never the same. But can you look into the future? The next 1000 years from now. What do you see? I see a change. Things will never be the same.

Evolution is the natural capacity to grow and develop to become something much more advanced or complex or more favourable to the correspondingly growing and developing environment that one is part of. Change is inevitable and we’re all victims of change under varied circumstances; it’s like nature is forcing our growth and development in order to effectively satisfy our niche in an ecosystem. But what happens when we restrain the natural tendency to grow and develop in a given system?

My name is Simon Kupalia and if you can get to know me better through this book you will realize that I am nothing more than an artefact of Universal Consciousness or the Universal Mind which Charles Haanel himself, author of The Master Key System described like - The Universal Mind, being infinite and omnipotent, has unlimited resources at its command, and when we remember that it is also omnipresent, we cannot escape the conclusion that we must be an expression or manifestation of that mind. A recognition and understanding of the resources of the subconscious mind will indicate that the only difference between the subconscious and the Universal is one of degree. They differ only as a drop of water differs from the ocean. They are the same in kind and quality, the difference is one of degree only wherefore it makes me human just as you are, and the grandiose motive of being human is to manifest our latent ability to transcend the drawn perception of what being human is; the illusion. Who draws this perception to define my reality or yours?
