About this ebook
- All these thoughts bring me back to the moment when I first asked myself about my motivation to leave home; the deeper reason behind the decision to become an immigrant. What, of all things, made me such? For the more I thought what made me an immigrant, the more puzzled I got with the unclarity of the motivation behind my answer. Why did I really leave? Where was I to go? Did I really think it would be better here or there, and were the places I lived necessarily relative to my human state’s full and true unfolding, or were they not?
Actually, these questions came to me at different times and always evoked more thoughts than answers. For the more I questioned myself, the less I wanted to hear a response to their imminent inquiry; the problem never seemed that simple when penetrated below its surface and my own soul was tormented to get a glimpse of what was going on inside, as if something stayed away from myself whilst within it, and I couldn’t clearly understand what it was.
Antheya
Welcome, dear reader! I write under the unusual pseudonym of Antheya, which would be the translation of my even more unusual real name into old Greek, a tongue, I find fascinating as tradition, meaning and sound, which helps it transcend the idea of the immanent presence and elate to the eternity of concepts and values beyond the singularity of the personal experience of human existence. I prefer unconventional, deep thinking over shallow narratives and this is what you will find in all my works of writing. Brave to join me!
