She is a passionate reader and teaches classes on Learning to Share Your Faith, Evangelism, Discipline of Prayer and Spiritual Gifts and enjoys sharing in the New Members Orientation Classes at Gethsemane Baptist Church (The Transformation Place) in Newport News, VA. Phyllis is also a graduate of Gethsemane’s Bible Institute and the Evans Smith Leadership Training Institute of Virginia Union University. Phyllis has been a speaker at Shalom Baptist Church’s Missionary Tea, at Marvelous Light Ministry “Dare to Be You Conference” and Zion Baptist Church Hampton Prayer Breakfast.       DEDICATION

      This is dedicated to the One I love. He chased me for a long time before I realized I needed Him. We have only been close for twenty-one years but I have known about Him all of my life. I didn’t think I was good enough to be close to Him; surely not in a relationship with Him, but my, my, was I wrong. I wasted a lot of time trying to ignore Him but He was so patient and waited for me to get over myself. One day I don’t know what hit me but I fell so in love with Him and there are no words to explain it. My whole life has changed and I have indescribable joy.

      This is dedicated to the One I love. He is always with me and I don’t mind. If I feel like He is not near I get uneasy. He is a great listener and His wisdom is the best in this world. He is the only one who can always tell me what to do. No, I don’t always listen but I quickly recognize when I should have listened, so I stop to ask Him for forgiveness and clear direction.

      This is dedicated to the One I love. Just when I think I know Him; He keeps on surprising me. The way He answers me when I ask a question; sometimes His answer makes me wish I had not asked!
