About this ebook

Don’t cross a line you can’t come back from.

Sadey has officially taken over as Director of Children’s Services at the DHHR. Dealing with the Governor’s daughter, extreme PTSD, a 40-year-old journal, and annihilated body parts have just become her new normal. But with the twins just turning one, Chase’s anxiousness to have another baby, and the decision she’s made to testify against Leroy King for last summer’s sexual assault, the pressure is mounting to a point where she is questioning everything, including her sanity.
Add to that, narcissistic attorneys, tampering with transcripts, the FBI and a near-death explosion, and the mix contains Chase’s first 100 days as a Circuit Judge being nothing short of volatile.

But the day Chase is held at gunpoint, Sadey teeters on the edge of self-control. Can she check her emotions, or will she cross a line in which she can never return?

Crossing the Line is book 6 in The CPS Series.

Author

Christy Wilson

Christy Wilson is the author of the CPS series, which follows the life and cases of Child Protective Services worker Sadey Collins. Although her degree is in Elementary Education, with a Master's Degree in Reading, Christy spent several years working in social work. She started as a Homefinder for a foster care agency, before spending several years working for Child Protective Services. Investigating the abuse and neglect of children is mentally taxing and she has experienced first-hand the many challenges, and few successes, that are experienced by CPS workers.Christy lives with her family in the mountains of Ritchie County, West Virginia. They have three children, five grandchildren and three large dogs who believe they are children (and treated as such). While spoiling her grandchildren is her favorite activity, writing comes in a close second. She also enjoys cross-stitching, scrapbookings, and reading everything she can from her favorite authors.
