    Helga

Ben Snyder chewed a fingernail and watched the long, narrow corridor which lead to the space station’s main decks. She was ten minutes late already — not a good first impression.

She’s good? Liam asked, his ginger eyebrows furrowed in concern.

Ben shrugged. Does it matter? She knows more than both of us put together.

Back when people knew how to make tight costumes look good, and entertainment mattered. She’d wrapped her hair in a severe bun so tight it turned her forehead into a fivehead.

The woman stopped and peered down her nose at the men, who looked up hers. Ben was surprised to discover the woman’s mustache hair wasn’t all growing from her top lip.

    I am Helga, she said.

    Definitely a girl,
