Description

In this episode we are joined by guest Scott Oja, Justin DePalma, and Eli Cleveland to talk about their upcoming event The Furniture Project. The Furniture Project is the new name for Wood Expo for 2013 and is designed to bring high quality furniture makers with buyers. "Our Mission: The Furniture Project strives to kindle the relationship between makers and buyers of high-quality custom furnishings. By providing a venue for talented furniture designers and makers to present their craft, we give makers a chance to represent themselves to the public. This offers both makers and buyers a unique opportunity to learn from each other about the mutual benefits of custom furniture. In this arena, we are able to recognize excellence in design, creativity, and construction as examples to aspiring makers and interested consumers alike." The Modern Woodworkers Association is a place for the online woodworking community to reinforce our online connections and create personal ones in local gatherings in many regions across the country. It is a place for woodworkers of all skill levels from professional to hobbyist to be able to share knowledge and learn form one another. The name Modern Woodworkers Association does not come from the fact that we are powertool users or for that matter handtool users but instead that we have all found a new tool, the online community and the power of information.
