    Born in Fort Worth, Texas, the author has lived in many places across the United States over the years.  He has worked as a freelance artist for most of his life, and has also held other jobs to support his interest in writing and art.  He has worked in printing shops, newspapers, renaissance festivals, art venues and music venues.  He even spent ten years as a machinist.  He now resides with his wife in Missouri.
