About this ebook
Just a short essay on a monster. A woman of rather interesting proportion, whom I had an encounter with one fine day in a library. Let's just say she was a very, very temperamental woman, nevertheless an interesting one, well kind of...
This short story begins in a plush public library in one of the more leafy-greener, gentrified aspects of Perth’s lux western ‘burbs where right-wing beautifully up kept protestant churches abound. A locale not that distant from the fair sea-breezes that often flow in from the Indian ocean. Bringing with them cooling actions its inhabitants gratefully receive. Saintly sea breeze’s much appreciated by the residents of this fair sanctified city particularly around the height of those short but ferocious summer months of January to February. Although throughout the winter months such a comforting sea breeze fondly referred to as the ‘Fremantle doctor,’ either dies or becomes impossibly blustery.
It is however, no less than a fine, sweet familiar breath of summer. A summer period that instead of doing what climate change alarmists forewarned was going to do that is, become inhospitable summer months that would be capable of burning the felt hat from off all your lowly, sinful scalps. No, what it has indeed done is actually make this great spread-eagled city by the sea-shore these days far milder in its climate in comparison to what was once a more common feature of this the most isolated city in the world. Where once such extremes tended toward a more wholesome full-blooded kind of summery heat which whatever it lacked in humidity, certainly made up for it in pure, sintering hellish burn. These days the summers are hot and short. The winters less cold but also more temperate. So thanks be to that climate-change alarmists everywhere.
The actual suburb this library is located in goes by name of ‘Floreat Park.’ Home of the upper middle-class, ‘not in my backyard’ shortened form ‘nimby,’ WASP –no need for long version here! These days such forms of humanity are inclined to be as politically correct in orientation as one of your #blacklivesmatter or even one of your average alphabet soup #LGBTQUI activists...
