Embracing the Gift

Introduction

My name is Claire V.  I wish that I could label myself as a medium or a psychic because then there would be a box my gift could fit into.  The reality is, I’m just a spiritual woman who has received many messages from the spirit realm. So much so that I am now obligated to share these messages.  In life as we know it, we are defined by our accomplishments and social status.  In the spirit realm however, none of that matters.  Your aura and your light defines you and if you’re anointed with a special aura and light in life, the spirits on the other side can see it and tap into you.  It doesn’t matter who you are in this life or how much more significant they are than you. Moreover, it doesn’t matter how much greater they were in their life than you are in yours today.  If they are able to speak to you, and have you hear them, they will.   

This is the reason I’ve been able to receive messages from spirits who were once glorified as celebrities while here on earth, although I’m just a simple woman.  While I have received many messages from celebrities who have passed on, please know that social status means nothing on the other side.  Light is light.  For some reason my life has attracted many spirits from beyond.  After too many years of documenting these encounters and messages, I’ve decided to release them.  After all, they are not my messages to hold on to but were ultimately meant to be shared for others to know and understand.  That is the purpose of this work; to release the messages that I’ve received during my lifetime thus far.

First know, I do consider myself to be a woman of God and for me, the messages from God carry the Most weight.  We must understand that the Bible as a book, has a beginning and an end, capturing a portrait of Him in history via the manifestation of prophecy.  But God Himself is the beginning and the end.  He is infinite and no matter how much we think we understand about Him, there’s always more.  We need to know that it’s okay to not know everything about God.  If we knew all of Him, we could very well be like Him and this will never fully be possible.  He will always remain a mystery in part and the encounters we experience with the spirit realm are blessed glimpses He’s allowed us to see into and know that there is more beyond this life and beyond this world. 

I believe in the known; in Him and His word.  I also believe in the unknown; the spiritual realm created by Him.  So, while I do believe in God, this book is not about my beliefs.  It’s about sharing my spiritual encounters with those things unseen. 

Chapter 1

Where Messages Come From

The sources from which messages come vary and are many.  There are times when God Himself speaks life into us or into a situation.  But there are also times when His angels are moving on our behalf under His authority and we’ll receive messages from them as well.  But at times you’ll hear the voices of your loved ones, whispering words of guidance and encouragement to you in visions and dreams.  Our ancestors who have not been reborn, continue to watch over us, although some you may never have met before.  You may have spirits from previous lifetimes watching over you; soulmates who are still connected to your soul, friends from another lifetime.  Some of your friends and family may have even been reborn into your current family, just to stay connected to you.  This was the case with the love of my mother’s life, who passed away in a car accident in the late 80’s.  A spiritual advisor with the gift informed her that he had been reborn as his own grandson.  This same spiritualist also informed my husband that his mother, who passed away about 10 years prior had been reborn as his niece to watch over his sister.  How amazing is that!  Our love ones are not always looking down on us.  Sometimes they are reborn into our family in order to continue to be with us. 

Then you may have spiritual encounters with people you’ve never been connected to or have never known personally.  They’ve somehow seen your aura and your light and they see you as their last opportunity to speak.  They want to speak through you to others because they no longer have the mouth piece to do so.  This would in many ways make you a medium for them in that moment.  They may be connected to the home you live in or to the land you live on, unable to cross over for some reason.  I’ve experienced this many times.

There’s one last source that is certainly not least, and that is the Holy Spirit.  When this source manifests itself in you, it gives you discernment that is greater than your mind can fathom and you see and know things you would not normally be able to know otherwise.  Not to mention, this gift gives you the ability to interpret prophetic dreams and messages. The discernment of the Spirit is spoken of in the Bible and is very useful and powerful.  The Holy Spirit is a gift and utilizing the discernment that comes with it, could classify you as a prophet or prophetess.  This is why I do consider myself to be a Spiritualist Prophetess.  Someone with the gift of prophecy is able to see things to come and warn others.  They not only see things to come but they know the will of God for the lives of others and can see the potential of others the way God sees it in them.  They can speak life into a deadly situation and make it live again.  The gift of prophecy is not only predictive, it can manifest a better outcome.

I have experienced all of these sources and I want to share my experiences with you.  Prayerfully, you will find comfort, hope and inspiration in the encounters I’ve had with the spirit realm.  I’m certain some may find discomfort in these messages as well.

Everyone’s gift is different.  Some will see spirits while awake and others while asleep in dreams.  For me, I get most of my visitations and messages in dreams and visions.  I was once told that when spirits visit you in a dream, they mean serious business.  They don’t just want to be seen, they have something important to show you.  In dreams, they have visual elements at their disposal to illustrate to you what they want you to know.  I can have up to fifteen dreams in one night.  I receive visions less frequently but when I do have them, they are jaw dropping.

Why Reveal in This Book?

Many messages I receive are for others.  Unfortunately, reaching those people has proven to be challenging, especially family members of the more famous spirits that have come to me.  Sharing these messages is more about a spiritual release for me.  I’ve been holding on to them for years and now, I must release them any way that I can.

Controversy is inevitable.  Again, while some of these messages will bless their recipients, some may hurt.  Some of the recipients are still very much alive.  None the less, my job is to hear and release what I’ve heard and I feel very blessed to be able to finally do so now in this book. 

Chapter 2

Set Your Rules

I remember when my brother and I were teenagers, we were having a conversation in the bedroom and in the middle of the conversation he took off running into the living room.  My natural instinct was to follow first and ask questions later.  It was as if he had seen a ghost.  That’s exactly what he claimed to have seen; the ghost of our late grandmother who passed away five years prior.  He said she walked right out of the bedroom closet.  Like typical kids, we went into the closet to investigate afterwards and sitting up on the top shelf in the closet was an old photo in a wooden frame.  It framed a picture of our grandmother. 

Since that day I had absolutely no interest in seeing a spirit with my bare eyes, although I know spiritualists who do.  I prefer to dream of them instead.  That way it’s not so scary and I never wake up fearful as I would turning the corner in my home and seeing a spirit standing in the middle of the hallway at 3 AM.  Strangely enough, I’ve never needed to communicate to spirits that I didn’t want to see them with my bare eyes.  They just seemed to already know and respect my wishes.  That’s when I realized that they do respect our wishes and we could very well communicate those wishes to them.  We set the boundaries for our gifts.  With those personal boundaries set, the Most High protects us in our arena to ensure no spirit with ill intentions can penetrate our space.  All we need to do is continually pray the light of the Most High God surrounds us and protects us, our family and our home perpetually. 

I have given the spirits three golden rules. 

Rule #1 I refuse to see a spirit while I’m awake.

Because I’ve set this rule, I’ve hardly ever seen a spirit while awake.  There were a few exceptions, which I will talk about later in this book.  That being said, I can still have a vision or a flash of a spirit that is present with me.  I tend to handle visions much easier than seeing a spirit with my bare eyes in the middle of the night.  Some do have the ability to see spirits standing in the kitchen, in their back yard or at the park.  Not me.  The spirits who visit me respect my wishes and only show me themselves in visions or in dreams.  Most of them anyway.

While I can’t see spirits with my bare eye, I hear them very well, while awake, as if they’re standing right next to me.  They speak to me in very subtle ways telling me things such as where I misplaced the television remote or that I left a window open or that I needed to pray for my mother. 

When I was sixteen years old, I was in my bedroom when a spirit told me to pray for my mother.  I didn’t know who the spirit was but I acknowledged it anyway.  I stopped what I was doing and got down on my knees to pray.  Within ten minutes my mother had called to tell me she was just in a car accident.  She was okay.  Prayer changes things.  In fact, prayer is another way of requesting intervention and if a spirit see’s that something bad may happen, their way of intervening sometimes is to coerce you into prayer so that God may intervene. They become our connection to the Creator in this way; when we have no idea we need to connect, they have a way of reminding us.  They do this because they care about you and want the best for you in ways that they may not have been able to experience for themselves.  This may also be a way for them to love and protect you in ways that they could not when they were alive. 

Hearing spirits has become like first nature to me.  I remember being awaken from a nap by my Grandmother (on my father’s side), not too long after she had passed.  I never had the chance to meet her in person.  After I fully awakened, I heard, I want to talk to you...but I won’t.  I knew it was her but wasn’t quite sure what or who was holding her back from saying what she wanted to say.  I told her to feel free to say whatever she wanted.  Yes, if you speak to them, they can hear you.  She responded, Ruth is helping you.  Ruth is my grandmother on my mother’s side, whom I had grown up knowing.  Ruth passed away about twenty-five years prior.  I wasn’t surprised to hear this.  My grandmother Ruth has visited me many times and I know she is my guardian angel. 

When I was fourteen years old, spirits begin to come to me in such great numbers and they all spoke at the same time.  It was as if over thirty of them were in the room with me.  All of them were seeking to give me advice all at once.  I don’t know who they were but they must have saw my light and wanted to connect.  This is when I established my
