About this ebook

Sarah bounced through the halls of her high school on her way to her locker to get her gym bag. She was so excited for the homecoming game she could barely contain herself. She and the rest of the cheerleading squad had been working for weeks now on their halftime routine. She grabbed her gym bag out of her locker and headed to the locker room to change. She walked in the locker room and found her girlfriends. Excited about the game they laughed and gossiped about the boys at school as they got ready.

"So what do you think about the Amanda Trey fiasco?" one of the girls, Helen asked the group.

"What I want to know is how Sarah plans on dealing with her Matt and Ryan fiasco," said her best friend since the third grade, Christine Clark.

"Oh yuck, I don't want to talk about that right now," Sarah said.

"Oh you mean you don't want to talk about you two most favorite people?" Christine teased her.

"Ugh, fine since you're making me. Basically they are horrible, always staring and gawking at me from the back of the science lab. They are such freaks. Matt is the worst and is always trying to find some excuse or reason to talk to me. He's been doing it so much that even and the other football players made some snide comment about him being my puppy dog. He even asked me to homecoming, with flowers!!!  Like I would even go with someone as nerdy as him. It's terrible! I can't stand him," Sarah told the girls. "But enough of that. It's game time. Let's get out there and cheer girls!" and the rest of the squad followed her out onto the field.  They cheered on the team as the game progressed. It came time for the halftime show and the girls took the center of the field and flawlessly performed their show. The home team wound up winning the game and that night Sarah got to make-out with her big crush Evan.

Geez those were the days she thought as she smiled to herself. She was so much younger and had so much more hope for her future back then. Dreaming that she would someday make it big as a fashion designer. She had wanted to go away to design school after her senior year of high school but wound up staying at the local community college so that she could stay close to her high school sweet heart. Even and Sarah had continued their relations past that first night of making out and dated all the through high school and into college. During their sophomore year of college he had asked her to marry him. Young and in love and very naive she said yes. Just knowing that he was perfect for her. Even though so many signs throughout the years had told her that he was no good.

It started in high school. The rumors that he was sleeping with other girls. One time she had even caught him kissing her friend Helen. That night had not ended well and she and Helen's friendship ended forever. But Evan did as most men do and begged and pleaded and promised that he would never do anything like that again and she had stupidly believed him. The truth was he did stuff like that all the time and continued abuse her trust in their relationship, sleeping with almost whomever he could get his hands on behind her back. Sarah was blind with love and enamored by his coolness and his good looks so she continued to play the fool unknowingly for years.

They finally got married after their senior year of college. It was a simple and beautiful wedding with all of their friends and family by their side as they said, I do. Neither of them came from a family with much money so they took a little honeymoon to the hot springs which were near to their town. By no means was it anything to write home about but she was happy with Evan and loved their little life together.

Once they had graduated from college they both found good jobs and stayed in the same town. Evan worked at a pharmaceutical sales rep and she had landed a cubicle job at the largest marketing firm in the state. They both worked contently at their jobs for about 2 years before they found out that they were going to have a baby. Overjoyed Sarah spent the time before her birth preparing her perfect nursery and buying little outfits. Evan did what he could in his off time to help her around the house. They were so full of excitement and joy over bringing a bundle of new life into the world.

Soon the day arrived and at three twenty in the afternoon on April 20, Samantha came into the world kicking and screaming. Sarah was beside herself with joy and love. She had never known that she could love another human being so much in her whole life. So tiny and perfect, with her ten fingers and toes. Samantha was in love in a whole new way.

However once they got home from the hospital things began to crumble slowly at home. Evan was gone constantly at work and always had late meetings or early meetings he was having to attend and she was all alone with Samantha for the majority of the week. Her sexual appetite and lessened since she was so busy and exhausted taking care of the baby all the time and she knew that Even was getting frustrated with her. Every now and again she would take the time to fuck him in the shower or give him a blow job quickly before he left for work. But those moments were few and far between and when they did manage to have them they were lacking in the passion and emotion they once had.

This continued on for about six months or so and Evan began to have to travel on the weekends for work. This drained Sarah even more and although she loved her life with her daughter she was growing more lonely and discontent with her marriage. The neglect and lack of love that was growing every week was becoming almost too much for her to bear. That’s when the fighting began. Years and years of miserable arguing and fighting whenever she did manage to see Evan.

Things reached the breaking point when Samantha was five years old Sarah began to grow suspicious of her husband’s weekend sales trips. She had found the slightest mark of a bright red lipstick on the back of the collar of his shirt one day as she was getting his clothes ready for the dry cleaners. She felt a huge knot form in the bottom of her stomach as she began to come to grips with the reality and weight the little red mark beared. For weeks she didn’t say anything about it until one day she couldn’t take it anymore.

She arranged for her sister in law to watch Samantha one weekend, telling her that she was going to have a spa weekend for herself as she never did stuff like that. Sarah dropped off Samantha early one Friday morning and proceeded to set herself up to follow her husband to see where he went. He sold within the state so he always drove to his weekend sales meetings, or so he told her. She had gotten a rental car with dark tinted windows so that he wouldn’t recognize her car following him on the road.

And sitting at the end of her own block behind one of her neighbors cars she waited patiently for him to leave for his sales trip. She didn’t wait long before he walked out of the house with his weekend bag and hopped into his car and drove off down the road. She pulled out after him and followed him out of town, stopping at a gas station first to watch him fill up with gas. He picked up his phone and made a call while he was filling up his car. Laughing and smiling with whomever was on the other end of the phone Sarah felt her blood begin to rise. He finished filling up his vehicle and they were on the road again. Sarah staying 3 cars behind him as they drove down the highway, being sure not to get so far behind him that she would lose him.

After about 2 hours of driving through the country and passing through a couple of nondescript towns that are gone in the blink of an eye signs began to appear on the side of the road for the next nearest city only7 more miles. They crested over the hill and she pulled a little closer to make sure she didn’t lose him as he exited. He pulled off of the highway only 4 exits into the city. Thankfully for Sarah she there were 2 cars in between them still at the stop sign.

It was one of those truck stop exits with a 4 different cheap motels and two different sprawling truck stops. She followed his car into the motel 6 parking lot and pulled back into a spot and stayed in her car as she watched him go into the motel to check in and get his room key. He walked to his room and came about 40 minutes later wearing a different outfit and got back into his car and drove off. Sarah followed him to a nearby diner and watched him walk in. The hostess greeted him as though she knew who he was and pointed to where he was to go. Sarah watched as he walked to a booth in the corner but by the window and slid into the booth next to a gorgeous, long legged blond woman. She felt like she was going to puke. She watched her husband wrapped his arms around the beautiful blond and saw their lips lock in a deep passionate kiss.

She felt her head whirling and thought that she might pass out. Trembling in anger she sat in the car and held back her tears. She thought of making a scene and walking into the diner right then and there. But that wasn’t really her personality type and she had no clue what she would do other than stand in front of them and shake and cry anyway. She began to think about how many weekends and how long he had been traveling for work on the weekends and wondered if this was the only girl or the current girl or one of the girls. She broke down and wept in her car in front of the diner until after they had left and gone back to the motel room. She didn’t want to deal with any of that she just wanted it all to go away. She felt stupid and betrayed and deceived and could think of wanting nothing more than to just get him out of her life. Now she was going to have to get tested for STD’s and everything, not to mention finding a good lawyer and dealing with a divorce. Her head spun as she sat in her car,
