Reviews for The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Brilliant plot twist. ?? Didn’t see that coming.. Theo breaking in to the house was a bit dramatic though but I guess heartbroken people do crazy stuff sometimes..
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5tbh I've read a book about a week ago and wanted to write a review since then and finally getting to write it. firstly I would love to appreciate Alex Michaelides for writing such beautifully. I finished reading this in almost 15 to 16 hours maybe (?) and THIS WAS MY FIRST EVER PSYCHOLOGICAL/THRILLER READ !!! not at a point I felt like to continue it late .. the story is so well written it keeps you occupied and you are always thinking what will happen next
talking about the story it started off well but at the end it seemed so rush I felt like the ending could've been done way better.
SPOILERS
idk if it's only me but at times i get confused with the past and present. all the time I thought the incident where Theo got to know about the affair was present but it was past?!!? moreover the ending didn't seem to fit BUT THAT PLOT TWIST OMGGG I LITERALLY DROPPED MY JAW !!! but after reading when I was thinking I got a question in my mind all the time that Theo started stalking to find the exact moment to inform Alicia about Gabriel's cheating on her right !?! what was the need to break into her house like that ?? he could've just looked for the right moment and talked to her and inform her ! but maybe it was necessary too because that's where it all started ! concluding it it was a good read not for a moment I felt like not reading. IT WAS SO CAPTIVATING I would say . but for me I think the story could've been better
also this was my first review and my first thriller read as well. I hope that you guys will share your thoughts with me too because I would love to hear from you guys <321 person found this helpful

Introducing The Silent Patient
The Silent Patient is a New York Times best-seller book written by Alex Michaelides. It is a psychological thriller story of a woman's act of violence towards her husband. It is the story of Alicia Berenson, a famous painter. Berenson got married to an in-demand fashion photographer named Gabriel. It almost seems Berenson's life is so perfect. She lived together with her husband in a huge house in one of London's most desirable areas.
Michaelides started the book with Berenson's first entry from the diary dated January 14. Berenson mentioned how she loves her husband, Gabriel. She said that it was her husband who insisted for her to write in the diary to clear her mind. Berenson also mentioned that writing in the journal has made her feel better, and it was some kind of her outlet. Berenson said that Gabriel is the love of her life, and she loves him so much. In the next chapter, it was then revealed that Berenson has killed her husband at the age of thirty-three years old. Berenson and her husband have been married for seven years. After Gabriel's death, the price of his photographs has increased. According to the unknown narrator, he or she finds Gabriel's slick and shallow and even complimented Alicia's artworks. Gabriel was forty-four years old when he was murdered by his
