The Polyvagal Theory is a theory that posits that the Vagus Nerve, or tenth cranial nerve, is interconnected with and sensitive to influences that flow from the body toward the brain.

 

Vagus Nerve partially controls our heart and other internal organs as well, insulin signaling, emotions like orgasms and other physical functions like the autonomic nervous system.
