The Girl Who Died - Kritika Sharma

    For You...

    My beautiful readers,

    who believe in my STORIES.

How many do you think are actually sad? Sam asked as he turned the car towards the apartment complex. He had to honk numerous times to get some space to drive. The entire road was packed with mourners. Was she really this popular? he wondered looking around.

The security team of the society was having a hard time with the crowd. They were checking everybody thoroughly, and only select few were being allowed inside. Sam and his partner Sara were sitting in their car, now queued outside the gates, waiting for their turn.

By the looks of it, Sara hissed, her eyes fell on a girl who was sobbing harshly on the road, Many!

It’s 8 in the morning, for crying out loud, he exclaimed. And look at the crowd, he shook his head in disbelief.

Social media is flooded with RIP messages, she muttered as she scanned through the leading sites on the internet.

Already? When did the news break out? It’s not even two hours, isn’t it? he wondered.

"I didn’t know she was this popular, she sighed as she looked around again. You would think their mother has died," she snapped as she saw a boy in his late teens beating his chest and wailing.

As per Director Pratap, we were ‘conveniently located’, he grinned at her.

Conveniently located my ass, today was supposed to be our off, she fumed. "No work-life balance at all. You would think that after busting our asses for the last two weeks on a case, they would let us rest. But nooo...the moment next hot-wired case pops up, they would just shove it up our asses, again," she barked.

He was laughing now. What? she snapped.

You just triple-assed a dialogue in one breath, I like this temper on you so early in the morning, he guffawed, as he parked the car.

    Why? she growled, stepping out.

"Because it would mean you would close this
