About this ebook
Roy P. Benavidez is a man who struggled through disappointing circumstances as a young child, overcame prejudice and discrimination, conquered paralysis, fought through two tours in Vietnam and became an American icon, a hero. Yvette Benavidez Garcia
YVETTE BENAVIDEZ GARCIA writes stories based on her life experiences. Her father is a great source of information for most of her stories, as well as her children. In addition to writing, Yvette likes capturing the moment by taking pictures of her family and friends. She also enjoys the challenge of copy-catting her family's favorite restaurant meal and turning it into a healthier version (of course!). When she can sneak away for a moment, Yvette loves to garden, swim, watch movies, travel and practice Yoga (Namaste). Yvette was born in Fort Riley, Kansas, and currently lives in Texas with her husband, Ren, and their two children, Ryan Michael and Morgan Paige. She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, an Army brat, and her family is a proud supporter of our military. The family is also parents to their dog Zoey (a.k.a. Jo Jo), and 5 chickens (Napoleon, Pedro, Kip, Lafawnduh, and Deb.)

Tango Mike Mike - Yvette Benavidez Garcia
ROY P. BENAVIDEZ is a Medal of Honor recipient from El Campo, Texas. Most people call him a Medal of Honor Winner,
but he never liked that word. If he heard it said, he’d be quick to correct you and say he didn’t WIN anything. You see, a winner is someone who wins something, as in a game or a sport. His tenacious attitude, unstoppable drive and unyielding desire to save his comrades earned him the call sign, "Tango Mike
