- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love this book. I would love to see a series of these books from Katie Hurley. It's beautifully designed. Chock-full of exercises and experiences, it's layed out in a way that is not going to overwhelm teens. The book is authentic, warm, encouraging, positive, and powerful. I'm recommending it to every parent and therapist I know.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book was a reminder to me to put myself first. Nourish my spirit, mind and body. I am my own worst critic. I was able to recognize my strengths and weaknesses. I love the meditation and positive affirmations. I use them daily to reset and focus each day. There are confidence boosting techniques. When you love who you are you move and behave differently. You control what you get from others. Being open enough to trust yourself to love and be loved is amazing.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Self-esteem has been an issue for me ever since I was young. I was always told I would "grow out of it," but I'm in my late 20s now and definitely haven't outgrown it. This book has given me some inspiration for building confidence and overcoming my own insecurities. If you also struggle with these things, I would take the time to read this book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5My daughter loves the workbook. She is 10, needed the extra you can do this. She's very serious critical. Her teachers have all commented on that too.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I like the format of this book. There are questions and lots of follow up information to explain the choices selected. This book is an excellent resource for the woman that has been bullyied by those with low self-esteem. It makes you realize how depraved some people really are and why they do what they do. I recommend this book because every woman should see the reason why some woman are just not kind.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5For every relationship, self-love is essential. We first need to love ourselves and then, be able to love others. Self-Love Journal For Women is an amazing book that provides you with exceptional guidance on how to find happiness, and to find good things on a daily basis. The quotes presented are really inspiring, and the narrative of this book is great and easy to follow. Worth reading.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5If you need a book that’s going to help you a long the journey of self worth and optimising your self esteem by kindly going on that journey with you by not ramming ‘what you should be doing down your throat’ then this book is for you. Combining psychology, history and personal experience makes this the best and most engaging self help book I have read.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very informative, easy to read and interactive. You actively respond to questions about content in the book, and it forces you to apply what you are reading to your life.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5At a moment where it is so easy to fall back into old habits, The Six Pillars helped snap me out of a negative cycle and reinforced many things I have been learning in therapy. It is an easy read if you have a grasp of the fundamentals of psychology. I also liked that he provided cultural contexts for his theory, specifically American culture. He also discusses gender, race, age, and lived experience as influences on our self-esteem, which I also appreciated.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I truly enjoy this workbook. It’s practical, useful, and it simplifies what confidence really means as opposed to what most people perceive it to be; superficial and physical. I highly recommend this workbook to anyone who is seeking to strengthen this area of their life, I think you’ll find it helpful.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I have problems with self doubt and this is like chicken soup for the soul with expert advice I will buy more from this author worth every penny I would post pics of book but I have a lot personal things I wrote in it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I bought this book per the recommend of my therapist. We’ve been working on healing from a toxic/abusive relationship for years. This book was helpful in stimulating good conversation with my therapist about the roots of my emotional baggage. I never finished this, but this is helpful for anyone that has a lot of emotional baggage and needs healing.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is awesome! I got an advance copy because I’m a psychologist. You never know what you’ll get with those but this has been a pleasant surprise. What I like best is that it gives the research and background on confidence in an engaging way, but then goes on to have practical steps and exercises for people to follow. You can tell a psychologist wrote it because it’s very similar to what you would do in therapy. I plan to order a hard copy to be able to use with my clients. Strongly recommend!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Even for those of us who have pretty good self-confidence, this book will help with guidance and exercises for those stubborn areas that still make us doubt ourselves. Highly recommend!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Has variety of methods you can use to enhance your power in affirmations. Good book. Would recommend reading for anyone.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I had just finished reading this wonderful book on improving self-esteem just a few days ago and now I feel more confident than ever and determined to overcome the demons that have plagued my self-esteem since childhood and adolescence. Beverly writes with such empathetic clarity that as you read this book, you can somewhat imagine her presence beside you, helping and guiding you to conquer the painful memories of your childhood/adolescent past and eventually live a fulfilling life with a renewed spirit and newfound confidence.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was so hoping for a magic wand, but apparently there isn't one. As disappoing as that is as long as we put in the hard work then we can experience healing and growth. This book has given me a place to start on that journey. From leaving an abusive relationship all the way to not repeating the same steps in the future told in a way that didnt leave me feeling ashamed or alone. A great infomative read.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book may deter some people because of the title and think they don't have a problem with their self-esteem. But don't be deceived this book is fantastic and can help with all kinds of things like anxiety, stress, inner critic, difficult feelings, understanding yourself and why you do the things you do and behave certain ways, etc. It personally has helped me with anxiety and my inner critic but really everyone can learn something from this book and will help you learn about yourself.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A friend recommended this book to me. It’s a great great book. It is written by therapists themselves. And it has really powerful technique and chapters in it. I think skimming through this book would not be a good approach and whoever wants to get the best use of this book, should take their time with every chapter and not feel disheartened if it’s taking long to complete - as the joy of the book and the learnings, is in the journey. A life changing book - will definitely recommend to everyone who needs it!
