आत्मनिवेदन

अपने इष्ट और गुरुजनों के आशीर्वाद के फलस्वरूप यह गीत संग्रह 'तरुणाई के तीर' लिख पाने का छोटा सा प्रयास मैंने किया है। मनुष्य की मूल प्रवृत्तियों में शृंगार प्रधान है अत: आयु के अनुसार कलम उधर ही मुड़ गयी। समय के साथ मनोभावों में परिवर्तन होना स्वाभाविक है अत: गीतों में विविधता स्वयं ही बन पड़ी है। मेरी शैली मूलत: वर्णन प्रधान रहती है परन्तु छंद व अलंकारों पर नवीन प्रयोग करना भी मुझे बहुत ही पसंद है।

समय -समय पर शृंगार के इतर विभिन्न ऋतुओं एवं त्योहारों का वर्णन भी समाहित किया है। मानवीय सूक्ष्म भाव कहने के साथ - साथ देश और सामाजिक व्यवस्था गीतों में सन्निहित है। किन्हीं - किन्हीं गीतों देश, वीरों, संवत्सर आदि का वंदन भी निहित है।

इस संग्रह के अधिकांश गीतों का पूर्व में विभिन्न समाचार- पत्रों एवं पत्रिकाओं में प्रकाशन हो चुका है तथापि सभी गीत पाठकों को एक जगह उपलब्ध कराने की दृष्टि से इन्हें इस संग्रह में संग्रहीत किया जा रहा है।

इन विविधता भरे गीतों का अवगाहन सुधी पाठकों का चित्त - रञ्जन करेगा, ऐसा मेरा विश्वास है।

मैं इसी आशा के साथ अपना पहला गीत - संग्रह 'तरुणाई के तीर' काव्य -रसिकों को समर्पित करता हूँ कि आपका भरपूर प्यार इस पुस्तक को मिले।
