      A Primer for the Venus Phenomenon

      The Venus Phenomenon is a name given to a worldwide transmutation anomaly that occurs when the planet Venus is at its nearest distance to Earth, which happens about once every 584 days. During the event, men around the globe suddenly and painlessly gain the physical likeness—excluding some facial features—of the adult woman who is nearest in proximity. Chances of being affected are about one in five hundred, or around 0.2%. Those affected will retain their changes until the next cycle begins.

      Guys may transform into doppelgängers of their blood relatives, their teachers, their coworkers, their partners, or even complete strangers. This duplication effect is also accompanied by sporadic memories from the original woman. Memories may appear and disappear throughout the cycle, or depending on the synchronicity.

      The acquired physical traits and memories may be referred to as echoes.

      Synchronicity is a value of resemblance between the original woman and the affected male. Victims of the Venus Phenomenon are encouraged to wear watch-like synchronometers, which display a live value of synchronicity, calibrated as a value from 0-100. This value will fluctuate throughout the 584-day cycle. Increasing or decreasing values indicate increasing or decreasing likeness, respectively. The typical side effects are as follows:

      0-50: A value of 50 denotes a complete physical likeness. Below 50, guys will exhibit a hybridized appearance with a mixture of physical traits. The effects of synchronicity vary for everyone. For some below 50, partial synchronicity may result in changes to limbs and clothing. For others, the affected body parts may include genitalia and internal organs. Emotional echoes and concurrent personality traits are less frequent below 50, but typically observed.

      51-75: In thisadvancedstage of synchronicity, full physical likeness has been achieved. More emotions, memories, mannerisms, and personality traits from the woman are duplicated in the synchronized male. For example, guys may find their preference for certain activities and hobbies changing. On average, they will be able to recall more of the woman’s memories and see flashbacks from her childhood, as well as concurrent memories. When she is eating, a synchronized male may be able to taste the food in her mouth. When she is aroused, he may also experience the state of arousal. A synchronized male may also find himself attracted to her sexual partner, conflicting with his orientation.

      76-90: Thestrongstage of synchronicity is by far more disruptive. In this spectrum, a synchronized male has less control over their appearance. Commonly, their clothes, hairstyles, makeup, and jewelry will constantly harmonize with the woman’s current appearance. The food in their digestive system may match. Other synced details may include sickness and injuries, bodily waste passage, sexual orientation and fantasies, speech patterns and vocabulary, sleep cycles, and more.

      91-100: Thecriticalstage of synchronicity is exceedingly rare. Above 91, the original woman's identity will begin to replace the synchronized male’s. A value of 100, although theoretical, represents perfect duplication, with the affected male being physically and mentally indistinguishable from the woman. They are exact twins.

      Fortunately, the end of the Venus Phenomenon cycle removes all mental effects with the physical. However, it is not uncommon for some memories to be permanently retained.
