      Unpinning Fear in Exchange for Power+ - L.D. Robinson

      Preface

      The Unpinning Series began as I thought about something one of my grandmothers, my mom’s mom, known as Granny to her grandchildren, told me about safety pins. She informed me about the value of keeping safety pins for an emergency. It has proven to be true; safety pins are certainly useful in many situations and for many reasons.

      The first book, Unpinning Safety in Exchange for Courage+ Other Thoughts From the ‘Book, provides readers and listeners with the concept of safety pins jammed onto a single safety pin (our lives), and how we sometimes try to make more fit—steadily trying to get the safe cover to close—to no avail. We are encouraged to exchange safe living for a courageous life in which we make room—sliding things out of the way—for what will help us, bless us, nourish us, sustain us, and allow us to plant healthy, life-giving seeds in the lives of others.

      This book, Unpinning Fear in Exchange for Power+ Other Thoughts From the ‘Book, is for the person who needs to address fear in order to make progression in their lives. It is also for the person who feels powerless in the face of life’s circumstances, who doesn’t feel loved or believes they do not have the capacity to love, and for the person who struggles with being mentally stable enough to function with purpose in life.

      2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV tells us, For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. God offers us something wonderfully fulfilling in exchange for the emptiness of fear. He offers us the ability to be all that He is: powerful, loving, and stable.
