How to be Salt & Light in the World
()
About this ebook
It can be hard to live as salt and light in the world. Part of being salt and light in the world is being disciples of God. There are certain ways we can live in ways that please God. The faith a disciple has in his heart should be displayed in the way (s)he thinks, talks, and acts. This is how we can be salt and light.
Before we consider the ways in which a disciple should live, we should carefully consider what it means to be a true disciple of God. A disciple of God is one who first admits he is a sinner before God and that he has no hope of getting to heaven by his own efforts without God’s help.
Second, he should believe the plan announced by all of God’s prophets – the plan by which God can forgive the sins of the children of God. That plan was the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. God redeemed the sinless redeemer over to death for our sins and raised him to life so that He might judge us as righteous.
Therefore, a disciple of Jesus Christ is one who believes the Good News of Jesus with all his heart and knows in his heart that his sins will be forgiven. God adopts such a believer as a child of God. It, therefore, follows if you become a child of God through faith in Christ and His sacrifice, you will never perish, and you will live forever in paradise. What a great reward!
