- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5An epic Sci-Fi story – highly recommend
Everything is going well for Cockroach, the main protagonist in A. Elnas' Caught in the Vortex: a well-paid mechanic job for the life-prolonging industry and another century or two living a peaceful life on Randran. What could go wrong?
Life takes a turn for the worst when the industrial empire faces an attack and shuts down, impacting the whole universe. Cockroach gets accused, has to flee, forms unexpected alliances and faces gut-wrenching betrayal. Is he strong enough to fight back and stop the destruction, or is everything he does in vain?
I truly enjoyed reading Caught in the Vortex. The author builds a fascinating universe with relatable characters, a gripping premise and high stakes. I am looking forward to the next book.
