The Zelda A. Zigzag Afternoon Center is hosting a play, and Gina is sure to be the star! Unless, of course, her best friend Destiny steals the spotlight… In this fourth installment of the Zigzag Kids series, characters deal with jealousy and learn what it means to be a friend. As always, a large, diverse cast of characters keeps things interesting at Zigzag. Unfortunately, the sheer number of characters can be difficult to keep track of at times, especially for young readers. While the book’s premise is clever, the dialogue and interactions between the characters is not always realistic and the storyline is a bit flat at times. Additional purchase. For ages 7-10.
