Anticipatory socialization
Begins before newcomer joins the organization. This stage of socialization is about all of the learning related to the organization that occurs before a newcomers first day on the job....
Encounter stage
the stage in the socialization process in which a new employee sees what the organization is really like and confronts the possibility that expectations and reality may diverge.
When new employees begin a new job, they start to learn about job tasks and receive training. Managers can exert their influence by helping new employees understand their roles and duties.
Metamorphosis stage
the stage in the socialization process in which a new employee changes and adjusts to the work, work group, and organization.
After completing this stage, the outcome for new employees would likely be the increasing productivity, stronger organizational commitment and lower turnover rate.
