Biologists classify organisms according to how closely related they are to one
another.
KING PHILIP CAN ONLY
Kingdom consists of several phylum
FIND GREEN SOCKS.
Phylum consists of several classes
Class consists of several orders
Order consists of several families
Family consists of several genera
Genus consists of several species (with similar characteristics)
Species groups of several organisms that share mutual features.
5 MAIN KINGDOMS EACH KINGDOM REPRESENTS A PARTICULAR
WAY OF LIFE THAT ALL ITS MEMBERS SHARE:
Animalia multicellular/cells have no chlorophyll/cells have no cell
walls/feeds heterotrophically
Plantae multicellular/cells have chlorophyll/cells have no cell
walls/feeds autotrophically
Fungi multicellular/cells have no chlorophyll/cells have cell walls/feeds
saprophytically
Protoctista unicellular/has a nucleus
Prokaryote unicellular/has no nucleus
Viruses arent classified in any of the kingdoms because it is considered
non-living (because it needs to enter a living cell to reproduce AND it
doesnt need food)
