Public’s help sought in identifying robbery suspect

May 18, 2010 (MINNEAPOLIS) This afternoon the Minneapolis Police Department
Robbery Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a man who robbed
the Loon Grocery at 2501 Lyndale Avenue South just after 10 a.m. on May 10th.

The suspect, a black male 18 to 25 years old 5’06” to 5’08” tall with a medium build
and medium natural hair, entered the business and jumped over the counter. The
suspect displayed a weapon and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect
fled the business with an undisclosed amount of money as the loss.

Anyone who can identify this suspect or has any information about this case is asked
to contact Sgt. Wally Carlson from the Minneapolis Police Department Robbery Unit
at 612-673-3856. Tips can also be anonymously provided to Crime Stoppers of MN
by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by using the online tip feature at
crimestoppersmn.org or by texting information beginning with TIP674 to CRIMES
(274637). Crime Stoppers of Minnesota is offering up to a $1000.00 reward for
information that leads to an arrest in this case.
