INTRODUCTION TO PROJECT WORK

This Project symbolizes the marketing principles


and sales flow being undertaken by Jitendra Motors and
Services in order to gain the Marketing functions, Marketing
strategy and Marketing Methodology with respect to
quantum and type.
Jitendra Motors and Services were considered to
be researched on and to be investigated in order to draw
possible detailed information. This includes study on various
factors such as Money, Manpower, Services, Techniques and
Sales etc. It states the measures that are undertaken in
order to overcome future potential problem and attain
reliability.

This project gives us a brief idea and detailed


information about Marketing strategy and advertising
methods under taken by Jitendra Motors and Services.

Jitendra Motors and Services are of the leading car


dealers in Nashik. Working since last fifty years. Instead they
have been accredited with “QUALITY CARE WORKSHOP” by
Jitendra Motors.

Thus this project work concludes that in order to
be a creative Industry it has to work on the Advertising,
Distribution and Selling Principles.

NEED AND IMPORTANCE OF


PROJECT WORK

1. Project work helps the investigator to obtain the


answers to the question to of the research. It helps
researcher to control the experimental extraneous
and error variance of the particular researcher
problem under study.

2. It helps in drawing possible conclusion from


statistical analysis.

3. As it is the basis of the whole study. The study will

collapse in the absence of proper formulated


design of project work.

4. It enables investigators to anticipate potential

problem.

5. It helps to minimize the usage of time and money.

6. It helps to plan such techniques for collecting data.

3. To study Marketing strategy of Jitendra Motors.

4. To study the sale of company with respect to Quantum

PROJECT METHODOLGY
Methodology is a process in which information is
collected for preparing a successful project report. In short,
Methodology contains data collection. The data is that thing
which is to be known and from which conclusions are to be
given.
1. Primary Data
2. Secondary Data

Once the topic of the project report is finalized the next


part is Collection of data as a step ahead in the process of
project work. Collection of data refers to purposive gathering
of information relevant to subject matter of the study from
the units under investigator. The method of collection of
data depends mainly upon the nature purpose and scope of
enquiry on one hand and the availability of resources and
the time on the other. Statistical data may be classified into
primary and secondary depending upon the nature of data
and mode of collection.

1. Primary Data:-

The data that is originally or firstly
handedly collected by Investigator or an agency for any
statistical investigation and used by them in this analysis,
is know as “Primary Data”. It can be secured by ways that
is methods of collection of Primary Data

a) Observation:-
Observation is acquiring knowledge by
your basic instincts out of a given situation. It is a
scientific tool of scientific enquiry. It is not merely
something, activities or situations but, watching minutely
closely and systematically.

b) Interview Technique;-
It is one of the most important and
powerful tools in a social research. In is verbal technique
to secure data. The person who asks the question in an
interview is called an ‘interviewer’ and the person who
answers them is called ‘respondent’. It is a fundamental
process of social interaction like exchange of thoughts,
views, opinions experiences, etc.

c) Questionnaire:-
Questionnaire technique is a widely
used technique in any research work as it is the main
instrument of data collection. A questionnaire is from

which is prepared and distributed to get the response to
certain questions.

2) Secondary data:-

The data which has been already collected by some


investigators of agency for future statistical work is known as
“Secondary data”

It is mostly has been taken from various published


records such as journals, magazines, newspaper, radio,
films, etc. Un-published records, means that information
which cannot be published directly for the public.

a) Authenticity:-
It means the reliability of data and gradibility of
the source.

b) Suitability:-
The data must be suitable for the enquiry under
investigation.

c) Adequacy and accuracy:-


The data has to be accurate and
at the same time sufficient to carryout the investigation.

Thus secondary data is used by the researcher only
when it has been screened under the above three tests and
found satisfactory.

company in Nashik. It was incorporated on 1st August 1985.
they started their business on 14th May 1986.

Mahindra & Mahindra India manufactures passengers cars,
at its integrated manufacturing facility spread over 400
acres of land at Satpur MIDC at Nashik the company has
opened dealership in Jitendra Motors in Nashik. This
company well equipped with modern techniques that is
implemented with in the origination know as the 3s facility.

Total sales of the organization during the financial


year 2008-2009 came up to 360 units. Which consist of cars
and SUVs.

Contribution of various products is as follows;

Logan 35%of sales.


Xylo 25% of sales.
Scorpio 15% of sales.
Bolero 8% of sales.
Max Pik-up 7% of sales.
Mahindra tourister 3% of sales.
Others 7% of sales.
