Argentina Academic Document Requirements

Argentine applicants must submit documentation of their secondary and post-secondary education, including academic transcripts and certificates or degrees earned. All documents must be issued in Spanish and sent directly from the institution. Applicants who have already earned a Licenciatura or Titulo Professional do not need to submit secondary documents. Precise English translations are required for all non-English documents and must include translation of all information. Secondary Education
Submit the following documents:

Senior secondary school academic record/transcript showing courses taken


and grades achieved
Bachillerato

Post-Secondary Education
Submit the following documents (if applicable)

Academic records/transcripts for all post-secondary study completed


Attested copies of any degrees/diplomas/certificates awarded

Applicants who have already earned a Licenciatura or Titulo Professional from


a government recognized institution do not need to submit secondary
education documents.

General Instructions

All academic documents must be issued in Spanish, attested by the Registrar


or designated officer and either sent directly to FIT or submitted by the
applicant in a sealed envelope from the institution or awarding authority.
FIT reserves the right to request additional documents as needed upon review
of your application.
FIT has final authority for determining the acceptability of an institutions
level of recognition for the purpose of admission.
All documents become the property of FIT and will not be released.
Documents are subject to verification at the discretion of FIT.

Translations

Precise, word-for-word English translations must be provided for all foreign


language documents and must include translation of all information on the
documents. These may be completed by:

a translator from the Association of American Translators (tel:


703.683.6100 and fax: 703.683.6122);

a translator from the International Federation of Translators;

an American embassy or consulate in the country from which the


student is emigrating;

the consulate or embassy of the country of the applicant in the US.

FIT reserves the right to request a new translation if the one submitted does
not meet the criteria noted above.
