They may also be about drugs. i.e. marijuana or cocaine and the drugs’ effect on people. Also, gang membership and the relationship between gangs and drugs, like gangs survive by selling drugs, These projects should be in the form of a: a) Poster (standard poster board size or tri-fold poster style. Pictures and information relating to pictures may be downloaded from the internet.) 'b) PowerPoint Presentation (minimum 8 — 10 slides. May contain music and other special effects as it relates to the message.) ©) Rap Song. (student may write a rap song dealing with drugs and gang membership Student must perform the song to the class.) 4) Skit, or Small Play acting out an anti-drug or gang message. ¢) Essay (minimum three typed pages or if handwritten, must be legible. Must be topic oriented, f) Video may be filmed at home if topic oriented Students may work in groups of no more than three people. All three people must be in the same class. Equal effort must also be present, i.e., one person does 95% of the work and the other does 5%. Projects will be judged accordingly Students will present their projects before the class. This will consist of a brief overview signifying the meaning or intent of the project. PowerPoint projects are to be on a thumb drive readily loadable onto a laptop computer. Students are strongly encouraged to print the PowerPoint frames just in case something happens and their project cannot be displayed. Class projects are due on the following dates. These dates are “ be accepted after these dates: irm” dates and NO projects will Mr. Settineri’s classes: Tuesday, Dec. 19 Wednesday, Dec. 20 s: Thursday, Dec. 21 This is an official, graded class project. Students should be encouraged to do their best.
