What is relating verb


The first question that arises is what is the definition of relating verb? From many explanations,
relating verb is a verb (verb) that combines two ideas. Generally relating verbs are "tobe, have,
seem, appear".

What other verbs are included in the relating verbs? Here is a list of verbs that are often used in
report text or that included in relating verbs.

Is, are, has, have, seem, appear, appear, feel, look (like), seem, sound, smell,
taste, become, fall, get, go, grow, remain, stay, turn.
Usage of relating verb
Now how about the use of relating verbs in report text sentences? Relating verb in its
user to a sentence is no different from the other verbs. The main function of the verb is
to provide attributes of circumstances and activities to the subject. Meanwhile, for
relating verbs, the attributes of this state are much taken up by relating verbs. These are
examples of sentences used in a report text:
Cat is a carnivorous mammal.
Birds are vertebrate animals.
A cat has a long tail.
An elephant has long trunk too.
Continental foods taste hot.
