PREFACE
As a part of the course curriculum, each student of the Bachelors of Business Administration of
Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University has to accomplish a project work, which is to preparing
an Internship report.
In order to face the challenges of the new millennium, there is no better sector for us than to
learn about the Banking system and its Activities. The report has been prepared on the basis of
general activities and the comparison of performance, products and services of the bank. I have
prepared this Internship report on “Discrepancy analysis of Janata Bank Ltd” which is
comparison of its activity, product and service offerings with other bank and finding the
discrepancies. I tried my level best to learn something during two months internship period and
prepared this report.

banking sector specially the working environment of Janata Bank Ltd. Without his

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report has been prepared to find out the discrepancies of Janata bank limited. The
process was to analyze services gaps with Sonali Bank ltd & Southeast Bank Ltd. Some
of them are branch based and some are company as a whole.
In today’s world of fast emerging financial markets, competition between financial
organizations is increasing rapidly. So, it has become a vital importance for banks to keep
their market position through high-quality products and service. It is also important to
give better product offer and services from rivals.
This study focuses on Janata Bank’s performance comparison with Sonali Bank &
Southeast Bank Ltd. What are the service of the from the Janata bank Limited, what are
the service of the Sonali bank Limited, what are the service of Southeast Bank Ltd what
are the differences in their performance, what is the gap among their similar services,
what service are missing are some of the topics that I have tried to discuss throughout this
report.
I have conducted interviews with employees of Janata Bank, Sonali bank and Southeast
Bank Ltd for data and working experience in Janata bank added deep analysis scope.
Based on the analysis I came up with some recommendation which would help the bank
to get rid of discrepancy and improve their service.
