GOT TO LOVE A GOOD BLONDE JOKE.....
A blonde lady was driving home, drunk as a skunk. Suddenly she has to swerve to avoid a
tree, then another, then another. A police car pulls her over, so he tells the policeman about
all the trees in the road. The policeman says, “That’s your air freshener swinging about!”
A blonde man’s dog goes missing and he is frantic. His wife says “Why don’t you put an ad
in the paper?” He does, but two weeks later the dog is still missing. “What did you put in
the paper?” his wife asks. “Here boy!” he replies.

THE QUALITY OF
TOLERANCE
by Georgia Carr & Susan MacFarlane from Heartcentre

doesn’t mean that one condones violence, or
whatever it may be, but one finds in one’s heart
an understanding that no matter what the
circumstances, even if one can’t bring oneself
to be generous with love, one can at least be
tolerant, be kind. This is where tolerance is so
useful because it is something that you can fall
back on when you are not able to love – you
can at least be tolerant.
It is very useful to practice tolerance as a way
of developing loving detachment which is also
a wonderful quality. You can practice tolerance
when you are driving in your car, or when you
are watching television, where previously you
would have judged or criticised, but instead
of allowing that automatic response you
develop mindfulness through noticing and
through choosing tolerance, through choosing
to not say the judgement, and to even refine
that further to not thinking the judgement.
Tolerance helps you to let others just be, and it
helps you to stop trying to control others to be
how you want them to be.
Often one thinks of tolerance as being tolerant
of other people’s religion, or lifestyle, but it is
also applicable to the most tiny details in one’s
everyday life, because tolerance helps you

HAVE A LAUGH ON US.....
A bloke went to the Doctor and said “Doc, I don’t know what’s wrong with me I just can’t
seem to do anything around the house”. The doctor examined him and told the bloke to
come back next week for the results.
“Okay Doc, what’s wrong with me?” The bloke asked the next week. The doctor looked
over the charts and said “according to the results there’s nothing wrong with you, you’re
just getting old and lazy”. “I know that”, the bloke said, “but tell me the medical name for
the condition so I can tell my wife”.

Freshwater turtles spend most of their time in rivers, lakes, swamps and ponds,
including farm dams. However, they sometimes come onto land to migrate between water
bodies or to nest.
The Eastern long-necked turtle is often seen crossing roads, where unfortunately it is frequently
killed by motor vehicles.
Please remove turtles to the side of the road they are heading toward. If noticeably hurt
as long as there are no severe internal injuries, a cracked or broken shell may be repaired
by Wildlife Rescue South Coast so please contact us if you find an injured turtle. For more
information visit http://www.wildlife-rescue.org.au/turtles.html.
The Wildlife Rescue South Coast 2016 calendar is on sale and still only $10 (plus postage).
Please Help Us Help Wildlife…. This beautifully produced calendar features a different native
animal each month found in our licensed area, from gliders, kangaroos and bats, to wrens,
wombats, frogs and goannas. Each animal pictured was rescued and/or photographed by
our own members.
To order online visit our website home page www.wildlife-rescue.org.au and click the
calendar cover. We accept PayPal or credit card. To order and pay by direct transfer email
payments@wildlife-rescue.org.au. The calendar is also available to buy at the many and varied
