MicroNet Sensors
MCS-4000
The TAC I/A Series MicroNet™ Sensors (MN‑Sxxx
series) are a family of digital wall temperature
and humidity sensors for use with TAC I/A Series
MicroNet controllers. These sensors feature a Sensor
Link (S-Link) communication protocol which provides
a simple two-wire interface for power and exchange
of sensor and subbase information. Subbase
information includes selecting occupancy override,
fan speed, operating mode, or emergency heat.

Communications
S-Link
Sensor Link (S-Link) communications wiring provides
power and communication interface to the
TAC I/A Series MicroNet sensor (MN-Sxxx series). It
uses two-wire, unshielded cable and is not polarity
sensitive. From some sensor models, the user can
view and adjust application parameters. Maximum
wire length allowed between a controller and the
TAC I/A Series MicroNet sensor is 200 ft. (61 m).

1 A PC can be connected to the LONWORKS TP/FT-10 Network, either directly or through the LONWORKS® network jack of a LONWORKS
controller or MN-Sxxx Wall Sensor. The PC must have an Echelon® LONTALK® adapter card.
2 Programming any of the TAC I/A Series controllers, or the TAC I/A Series MN 800 controller, requires WorkPlace Tech Tool.
3 This controller is not suitable for exposed mounting on a wall or panel, or in any other easily accessible place due to the possibility of
personal contact with the high-voltage terminals. It must be mounted inside a suitable grounded metal enclosure.
4 MicroNet Sensors can be connected to any MN controller.
5 A PDA running the Pocket I/A interface software may be used to communicate with TAC MicroNet I/A Series controllers.
6 When routers are used, WorkPlace Tech is able to communicate through them to any of the TAC I/A Series devices on the network.

Temperature Sensors
STP660
The STP660 temperature sensor is intended for immersion mounting in pipe
systems with a separate pocket (well), and has a telescopic probe extendable from
100mm to 300mm. This technology makes the product ideal for the HVAC service
industry as the probe is adjustable for any size pocket. The tip is primed with heat
conductive paste, ensuring that the time constant is optimised. The pocket is
sealed, making it easy to replace the sensor if necessary.
The STP housing is equipped with a 20mm cable fitting. A 20mm cable gland is
supplied. As there is a choice of both pocket material (brass or stainless steel) and
size (120mm or 200mm) for this sensor, the pocket must be ordered separately.
See the DWA range in the pocket / wells section of this catalogue.

Immersion Temperature
Transmitters for Pockets
STP300
The STP300 is an electronic immersion temperature transmitter that converts a
measured temperature into an electronic current signal 4-20 mA. The STP300 is
designed for immersion mounting in pipe systems with a separate pocket (well).
The pocket is sealed, making it easy to replace the transmitter if necessary.
For a new installation the pocket must be ordered separately. The transmitter
is intended for measurement of high and low temperatures. The transmitter
is connected with a 2-wire cable, which serves both as power supply and
for signal transmission. The reading of the measured signal is done over an
external load resistance.

DESCRIPTION:
The Wet-Wet pressure transmitter is designed with dual sensors that enable it to accept high differential pressure ranges. The
gauge pressure transmitter is designed with a single sensor that enables it to accept high pressures ranges.
Both transmitters can accept ranges from 5 PSI to 500 PSI. All models can handle overload pressure 2X the maximum full scale
range and burst pressure is 5X the maximum full scale range. Features include field selectable pressure ranges and output
signal types for the most flexible applications. Typical HVAC applications include monitoring of liquid differential and gauge
pressure. The output signal is factory calibrated and temperature compensated for the highest start-up accuracy.
NOTE: When choosing pressure range ensure that the maximum individual port pressure does not exceed the maximum
pressure range of the unit. For example, the maximum individual port pressure of the WP-D-102 is 100 PSI. Exceeding this
may cause damage to the sensors and will give erroneus readings.
