Rotary Kiln Alignment

This document provides instructions for adjusting the rollers on a rotary kiln. It explains that adjusting one roller will cause movement of both the kiln and the opposite carrying roller. As a rule of thumb, moving an inward bearing roller to the right will move the kiln to the right as well, while the carrying roller will move in the opposite direction to the left. The ideal setting is for the kiln to float evenly between the upper and lower thrust rollers. Adjustments should be made in small increments and the effects monitored over several hours.
