INSTRUCTION’S

• All assessed coursework is to be typewritten and must contain an accurate


word count and bibliography.
• The deadline for submission is Tuesday 30 june 2015 (No excuse for late
submission will be accepted.
• The word limit is 3000 words (to exclude footnotes, references and
bibliography).
Answer one Question only.

1: Define confession and how it is different from admission?

2: Discuss the principle of Estoppel as elaborated in the QSO and how its
concept has been reinvigorated under the banner of promissory Estoppel by
the courts? Please illustrate with reference to case law?

3: Dying Declaration is an important piece of evidence. How its relevancy and


evidentiary value is regulated by the Qanun-e-Shahadat Order 1984 and case
law laid down by the Superior Courts?

4: Identification parade may provide some important clues to prosecution for


apprehension of real culprits. Discuss the legal and judicial framework of
relevancy and evidentiary value of Identification parade in a judicial
proceeding?

5: Discuss the facts of which court must take judicial notice.
