PHONE SETUP
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Android Auto® features may operate differently than on your Android® phone.

Message and data charges may apply when using Android Auto. Please check
with your carrier.

Android Auto relies on the performance of your phone. If you experience


performance issues:

• Close all apps and then restart them again


or

• Disconnect and then reconnect your phone

Using the USB cable that was provided with your phone is recommended.

When Android Auto is active, your in-vehicle voice recognition system is disabled
and you will be using Google® voice actions to make your requests.

PHONE SETUP
STEP 1 Turn on Bluetooth® on your phone and connect the USB
cable to your phone and the USB port on the vehicle.

STEP 2 Phone will prompt you to download Android Auto app


and other needed apps.

NOTE: Vehicle must be parked.

STEP 1
Press the Setup button.

STEP 2
Touch the Connectivity icon.

STEP 3
Select On then touch the Home icon.

STEP 4
Connect your Android phone to the vehicle
USB port. Agree to the notification and
disclaimers on your phone, then the Android
Car Setup

Auto icon will appear confirming the setup.

OVERVIEW
Android Auto organizes recent actions and
information into simple cards on the Android
Auto Home screen. Touching an actionable
card will take you to the app.

Android Auto uses Google voice actions for many functions.


A Google voice action session can be initiated on any screen by:

Touching the Microphone icon on any screen

or

Pressing steering wheel Voice Recognition

PHONE
MAKING A CALL
Touch the Phone icon to access recent call list.
You can initiate a voice action and then say
“Call <John Smith>” or “Dial <number>”
to make phone calls from any screen.

ENDING A CALL
To end calls, touch the red End Call icon or
press the End Call button on the steering
wheel.

OPTION
Or, press the steering wheel:

• Call button for more than 2 seconds


to dial last call made

• End button to end call

PLAYING MUSIC
Touch the Music icon to access Google Play
Music and other third party Music Apps.

NOTE: A list of supported third party apps can be


found on the Android Auto website at
http://www.android.com/auto

FINDING PLAYLISTS AND SONGS


Touch the Queue icon in Google Play Music
to access recent playlists, mixes, and queue
songs.

ACCESSING SETTINGS
Touch the Options icon to view additional
settings (thumbs/down, etc). Settings may
vary by app.

NAVIGATION
ACCESSING MAPS
While in the Android Auto environment, touch
the Map icon to access Google Maps.

GETTING DIRECTIONS
Press the steering wheel
Voice Recognition Button then state
your destination or POI to activate a
Google Search.

VIEWING DIRECTIONS
Google Maps will display your destination
and route options.

Touch the Car Apps icon to access other
Third Party Non Music apps.

Touch the Blue Arrow icon to exit
