Norms

BS6 or Bharat Stage 6 emissions standards will come into effect in India from April 1, 2020 and will apply to all vehicles manufactured from that date onwards. The new standards are aimed at reducing air pollution and follow previous BS standards (BS1-BS4). For customers, BS4 vehicles can continue to be used after March 2020 without any modifications and will have a validity of 15 years. Manufacturers will need to comply with stricter BS6 emission standards for all new vehicles made on or after April 1, 2020.
