2020 CONNECT
Program Overview
2020 Connect partners members of the Class of 2020 with Trinity College alumni for a 4-week industry-
based mentorship program. Mentees will be matched with an alumnus/a based on career goals,
professional interests and skills, and desired location. Class of 2020 participants will have the
opportunity to favorite alumni mentors prior to the matching process.

The primary goals of the program are for alumni mentors to provide their mentees with insights and
advice on:
The current state of hiring in their desired career field
Strategies for networking, finding open positions, and positioning themselves for future hiring 
Career-specific feedback on resume and cover letter samples

Program Timeline
May 18 - 24 Mentor/Alumni Application Window
May 25 - 31 Mentee/Recent Graduate Application Window
June 1, 2020 Mandatory Virtual Mentee Orientation
12 pm or 7 pm EST

June 2, 2020 Match Day


June 3, 2020 Start of Program
July 3, 2020 Close of Program

Mentee Expectations Mentor Expectations


Attend virtual mentee orientation on June 1st.  Participate in four mentoring meetings. 
Conduct initial outreach to partnered mentor and Share industry expertise, market insights,
schedule four phone or virtual meetings.  and review mentee’s career materials.
Be prepared for each meeting, having read-pre work Advice on networking and job search

Respond to mentor in a timely manner.
